The III Employment Congress of the Canary Islands will be held on October 30 at the TEA Tenerife Espacio de las Artes, in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, with the aim of generating a space for meeting and reflection on the challenges and opportunities of the labor market on the islands.

Organized by the Department of Tourism and Employment of the Government of the Canary Islands through the Canary Islands Employment Service, the congress will bring together professionals, companies and representatives from different fields to share experiences and address issues that directly affect the present and future of employment. The institutional opening will have the participation of the Deputy Minister of Employment, Isabel León, and the closing of the day will be carried out by the General Director of Labor, José Ramón Rodríguez.

Among the participants will be the Spanish tenor with recognized international experience, José Manuel Zapata, who will talk about pressure management, resilience and teamwork, focusing on the importance of people in professional development. The event will also give prominence to talent and experience throughout working life, with the participation of the promoter of Más Mujer, Rita Calero; the president of Charter 100 Canarias, Nardy Barrios, and the director of the DinoSol Foundation, Patricia Muñoz. The three will provide their perspectives on leadership, equal opportunities, inclusion and the value of experience. The program also includes discussions on well-being and productivity, as well as employment opportunities related to the blue and circular economy.

In addition, the co-founder of Tu Trámite Fácil, Fran Mas, will offer a practical session aimed at young people, focused on how to take advantage of the available opportunities and deal with the procedures that may arise when starting their professional career.

These interventions are part of a broader program that will address, from different perspectives, issues such as conciliation, continuous training, inclusion and the changes that are transforming the world of work.

The congress aims to promote the exchange of ideas and experiences between the different agents involved in employment, and contribute to identifying new ways to improve job opportunities and respond to the needs of people and companies in the Canary Islands.
